A Chinese doucai saucer dish, Qing Dynasty, 1723-1735
circular, the centre enamelled with a five-clawed dragon chasing a flaming pearl enclosed by a double blue-line, the border enamelled with stylised ruyi enclosed by a double blue-line, the reverse enamelled with clouds above crashing waves, between double blue-line borders, raised on a low foot, underglaze-blue six-character Yongzheng mark enclosed by a double blue-line, 11,7cm diameter
