A cased Japanese silver and silver-gilt cricket cage, late 19th/early 20th century
the pierced rounded body moulded with chrysanthemums between lappet borders, the shoulders engraved Presented to Major C.E.H. Symons C.A.V. J.P. Consul for Japan by H.I.H. Prince Komatsu Colombo May 11th 1902., enclosing a detachable cylindrical aperture, with pierced moulded chrysanthemum cover, raised on three outswept legs, dents, the fruitwood case with damage, 415g
