Notes

The present lot, completed in 2019, is from a series of portraits produced by Georgina Gratrix between 2018 and 2020. It features notable art world dealers and collectors that include David Altman, Liza Essers, Jonathan Garnham, Frank Kilbourn, Mihai Nicodim and Alain Servais. Gratrix met the sitter, Stefan Simchowitz, in Los Angeles when she was included on the group exhibition Punch curated by Nina Chanel Abney at the Jeffery Deitch Gallery.

Currently Gratrix has a solo exhibition at Monica de Cardenas Gallery in Milan that runs from 28 May to 30 July, 2025.
