'The 2010 Gazin has an astonishingly precise bouquet with real intensity and bravura, mainly black fruit laced with truffles and morels, becoming more ferrous with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with fine grain tannins, crisp acidity, a beguiling sense of symmetry and just a little gaminess towards the finish. What a wonderful Pomerol. Tasted blind at Farr Vintners 10-Year On Bordeaux horizontal. 2020-2050' - Neal Martin, Vinous, 96/100 (Feb 2020)
'Deep garnet in color, the 2010 Gazin charges out of the gate with bold boysenberries, baked plums and Christmas cake notes plus hints of unsmoked cigars and bouquet garni. Full-bodied, the palate is jam-packed with baked black fruit, framed by firm, ambitious tannins, finishing long and mineral tinged. 2020-2046' - Lisa Perrotti-Brown, Wine Advocate, 96/100 (Mar 2020)
'A subtle red with ultra-fine tannins that accentuate a palate of chocolate, berries and nuts. Full and very round. It's refined and beautiful. Hard not to drink now but wait at least five years. Top wine from Gazin.' - James Suckling, JamesSuckling.com, 95/100 (Feb 2013)
'Dense, with a dark, smoldering feel as charcoal and coffee weave around a core of mulled fig, blackberry and boysenberry fruit. The long, muscular finish features singed iron and black tea notes for added range. Needs a little time, but should unfurl nicely. Best from 2015 through 2030.' - James Molesworth, Wine Spectator, 93/100 (Mar 2013)
'Tasted blind. Deep garnet. Mature but inviting aromas of dried fruit and undergrowth. Smooth if dry tannins. Deep in fruit that fills out the structure. Thick but satisfying and fresh enough. 2022-2028' - Julia Harding MW, JancisRobinson.com, 16+/20 (Feb 2020)
