a hand-made Art Deco styled rectangular casket, with scalloped edging and ribbed detailing, purchased in 1954, 22k yellow gold, inlayed with wood paneling, hinge mechanism, stamped S.A.G with a protea and 22k, length approximately 21cm, height approximately 9cm, width approximately 12cm, total weight 2 895 grams

This item is a collectors pieces with aesthetic value. To the best of our knowledge, it is crafted in 22k yellow gold with no evidence of plating. Due to the nature of its construction, the net gold weight is an assumed fine gold amount of 2325 grams. Original invoice details a fine gold weight of 74.76 ounces (2325 grams )
