Miles Mossop - Max 2020 (1 x 3L)
This wine is a blend of 56% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Merlot, 15% Petit Verdot and 6% Cabernet Franc, from specially selected vineyards in and around Stellenbosch. There is an intense deep, dark, garnet colour to this wine. Abundant aromas of ripe black berry fruits emanate from the glass. There are hints of dried herbs, tobacco spice and cedar in the background. The palate is generous with flavours of ripe blackcurrant and dark black berry notes. The tannins are firm with a grippy yet fine tannin structure. The mid-palate is rich and full bodied leading to lingering finish of dried Italian herbs, cedar and tobacco leaf.

Ataraxia - Serenity 2018 (1 x 3L)
A jeroboam of my South African red blend - Serenity - from the 2018 vintage. This wine has the confidence to "whisper" style rather than "shout" brashness through the winemaking excesses of fruit ripeness, extraction in the cellar or an overtly strident use of new oak barrels. It celebrates the virtues of restraint, poise and tension, promising to be immensely companionable, entertaining and always charming. This is not a "Bordeaux" blend, nor is it a "Rhône" blend; this is a truly South African blend of Pinotage and its parents. Uniqueness right there!
