‘The second release from the talented Chris Keet’s own operation is every bit as good as his maiden effort. It’s a very elegant Bordeaux blend, despite the comparatively high alcohol, with all five varieties contributing to the poise and intensity of the wine. Seductively-oaked with a refreshing finish. ‘(32% cabernet franc, 26% merlot, 21% cabernet sauvignon, 11% malbec and 10% petit verdot): Bright, dark ruby-red. High-toned aromas of cassis, blackberry, licorice and cedar. Juicy, intense and penetrating, offering very good density without any undue weight. Black fruit and spice flavors are still a bit youthfully tight. Finishes with slightly tough tannins, but this unevolved wine's energy and length suggest that it will reward bottle aging.’ - Stephen Tanzer, Vinous (May 2013)
