'The maritime influence is very strong in this Syrah, sourcd from a vineyard close to Meerlust itself. Spice, black olive and smoky oak are the dominant flavours here, with undertones of clove, minerals and black fruits. Further proof that this is a label to watch. 'The 2007 Syrah has a fresh, seaweed scented bouquet with fine delineation. The palate is ripe and fleshy on the entry with blackcurrant and bilberry fruit.
