Critics Ratings
'A youthful colour for a 40-year-old wine, deep red and virtually no browning. It is showing incredible young attractive red fruit – strawberry and cassis with some spice and coffee. The palate shows the same amazing youthfulness of the wine. It is harmonious with well-integrated flavours, elegant, balanced and smooth. And enough attractive acidity to let this wine last a good few years, if not decade or two. Rich and beautiful aftertaste.' - Bennie Howard CWM (Mar 2024)
'Quite structured and serious for Chateau Libertas. More dark fruit (Cabernet?) than other vintages, with firm tannins and acidity, promising further ageing. Not as fudgy as others, this could be a sleeper vintage. One to watch.' - Higgo Jacobs (2024)
