Notes
Cecil Beaton was a celebrated British photographer renowned for his striking black-and-white imagery that exuded a cinematic flair, frequently capturing the glittering world of high society. His lens often turned to the Royal Family, with Queen Elizabeth being his most cherished subject. But Beaton's talents extended far beyond
photography; he was also an acclaimed set and costume designer for My Fair Lady (1964) and Gigi (1958). While his photography garnered the most fame, Beaton's creative genius spanned illustration and design for stage and film. His work graced the pages of elite publications, including Condé Nast who prints Vanity Fair and Vogue.
