Notes
Born in the Northern Cape in 1964, Jaco Benade studied Fine Arts at Pretoria Technicon (TUT). He was a merit award winner at the Sasol New Signatures competition in 1994 and has since held numerous solo and group exhibitions.
Benade primarily paints portraits, incorporating symbolic objects that reveal aspects of the characters. His use of color and objects conveys deeper ideas and emotions.
