The Magwaza family are celebrated as skilled potters. The family has over 20 potters including Buzephi Magwaza, Bonisiwe Magwaza, Thuleleni Magwaza, Thandiwe Magwaza and Zikoti Magwaza. They are based in the mPhabalane area north of the Tugela River.
