1

Notes
The original 2 x 6m beams were possibly used as ballast by ships passing through the Cape. In exchange for repurposing these beams into four benches, the designer presented the Castle of Good Hope with a bench honouring the life of Krotoa.
Provenance
Ironwood beams, approximately 200 years old, were reclaimed by the designer in 2015 from the Castle of Good Hope, Cape Town, South Africa.
