Caterpillar Suit II
signed, numbered 4/30, inscribed with the title in pencil in the margin and embossed with the Artists' Press chopmark
seven colour chine collé lithograph on paper

Notes
The bristles clearly allude to caterpillar spines and hairs which protect the soft bodies of the creature from
predators. While it signifies fortification it likewise signifies vulnerability. The larval skin as garment seemingly
designed for human use evokes the idea of armour and the need for bodily protection.
