About this Item
After nearly two decades at Tokara’s helm, Miles Mossop had the time to fine-tune his own brand. Miles Mossop Wines was established in 2004 with the vision to create wines unique in character, expressing the true nature of South Africa and the sites from which the grapes are sourced. It is a family business with Miles Mossop as winemaker and viticulturist including wines that are named after Miles and Samantha Mossop's three children.
This wines comes from Miles Mossop's flagship range of wines dedicated to his family which is one of the most important things in my life. Each wine in this contemporary range of fine wine bears the name of a family member. Each an expression of the highest quality in their style, reflecting a sense of place and unmistakably South African. Produced with fruit forward character, balance, texture and age-ability in mind.

Critics Ratings
‘Highly perfumed cab-led Bordeaux red with merlot & petit verdot. 2014 rich & intense, its spicy dark cassis & liquorice tempered by perfectly judged oak (46% new French), supple tannin. Bottelary grapes.' - Platter’s SA Wine Guide 2018, 4.5* (93/100)
‘Max combines Cabernet Sauvignon grown on shale with 31% Merlot and 18% Petit Verdot on ironstone. It’s a remarkable, age worthy red with grassy, floral aromas, fine dark berry fruit and meaty, structured tannins. 2018-26’ - Tim Atkin MW, SA Special Report 2017, 94/100
‘Healthy ruby-red. Sexy glossy oak tones complement cassis, black cherry, dark chocolate and licorice on the nose, with hints of spices and herbs adding lift. Very intense but also quite suave; much finer-grained and more sophisticated than The Introduction, conveying a distinctly drier impression but also more plushness and depth and a more powerful structure. Really noble texture here, and the toothdusting tannins are equally refined. Very long and gripping on the aftertaste. A lovely blend of traditional and modern.' – Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, 93/100 (Apr 2017)
