Perhaps the most celebrated Nederburg wines are the sweet wines of Edelkeur and Eminence but the German-styled Noble Late Harvest Riesling is even more rare. The 'penetrating fruit acids' have integrated into a beautifully mature and savoury/sweet wine. A South Africa Classic that has aged with grace. The Edelkeur made from Chenin Blanc was only available previously at the Nederburg Auction.

'The 1979 Edelkeur (Auction Wine) is a sweet Chenin Blanc. It has a dark brown color, but don't let that put you off as the nose is quite attractive with grilled walnut, lanolin, marmalade and waxy notes. The palate is sharp and citric on the entry with good tension, plenty of marmalade, quince and honey with good definition and focus on the finish.
