rectangular, carved with a central panel of scholars, maidens and children before a pavilion and trees against a pierced lattice ground, enclosed with a border of peaches, peonies and butterflies, 11,5cm high; and a Chinese tortoiseshell card case, Qing Dynasty, 19th century, rectangular, profusely carved with figures at various pursuits before pavilions, willow and flowering trees, enclosed by carved scaley dragons, the sides with figures and birds, the inside of the inner frame carved with the initials EG, the cover damaged and repaired, 11cm high
