Notes
Further inscription on the reverse reads: 'Property of JP DE SMIDT. This un-signed painting could well be by TW Bowler, although it is probably an "exercise" painting by Abraham de Smidt, Bowler's principal pupil, with "corrections" and amendation by Bowler'.
