A World War I Polkey black painted metal trench candle lantern, 1915
the square hinged top with carrying handle, with glazed hinged front, sides and back enclosing a pierced base with candle sconce, the sliding hinges fixed, the front applied with brass label 'USE ½ CANDLES ONLY' and applied maker's oval label, G. POLKEY, LIMITED MANUFACTURERS BIRMINGHAM 1915, two glass panes missing, one back glass pane damaged, 32cm high, 14,5cm wide,
