each centre depicting a waterscape, the foreground with stylised trees enclosed by a wave-shaped border, the reverse with scrolling stems, blue-line borders, mark of commendation, 15,5cm diameter; a Japanese Kakimon -tyle blue and white dish, Edo period, 1603-1867, the centre with a foliate rondel enclosed by a band of peonies, bamboo and scrollwork, the reverse with scrolling stems, blue-line borders, underglaze-blue six-character mark, 21cm diameter; a Japanese Kakimon-style blue and white dish, Edo period, 1603-1867, the centre with a foliate rondel enclosed by a band of foliage, wavy rim with sienna border, the reverse with scrolling stems, blue-line borders, underglaze-blue Kakimon mark, chips, 19cm diameter; a Japanese blue and white Arita dish, Edo period, 1603-1867, the centre decorated with four rondels each enclosing flowerheads and foliage against a hatchwork and flowerhead ground, the border with eight alternating medallions each enclosing Buddhist emblems against an iron-red ground and foliage, all against a hatchwork and flowerhead ground, wavy rim, the reverse with scrolling stems and flowerheads, blue-line borders, gilt highlights, underglaze-blue six-character mark, rim chip, 21,5cm diameter; and a Japanese Imari dish, Meiji period, 1868-1912, the centre decorated with flowerheads and foliage, the border with six panels of alternating flowerheads and leaf-and-berry motifs, all against an iron-red ground, the reverse with scrolling stems, blue-line borders, underglaze-blue four-character mark, 25,1cm diameter
