A Regency mahogany and inlaid bureau bookcase
the rectangular moulded outset pediment above a pair of reeded Gothic glazed doors enclosing three adjustable shelves lined with loose moiré silk panels, the backboard similarly lined, the cylinder top enclosing a fitted interior with seven drawers and four cubby holes, the sliding bureau front inlaid with a rectangular hinged gilt-tooled brown leather writing surface with later ratchet support, with a pair of panelled cupboard doors below enclosing a pair of drawers and a pair of sliding shelves, on ring-turned tapering legs, inlaid with ebonised stringing throughout, 233cm high; 116,5cm wide, 57,5cm deep
