Notes

'My work speaks about the daily hustle that we face every day in our lives, which hold us back from achieving a sense of greatness, achievement, and joy. In many ways, it explores many of the conversations I read about between the Dalai Lama and the Archbishop that touch on joy; what this is and how we get caught up in other things. Life is like a game – we play and intend to win but often things don’t go according to plans. We face failure and challenges and are often forced to find new ways to overcome these. This is my understanding of the daily hustle: a process of planning and strategizing all the time to overcome obstacles and achieve happiness. To achieve joy in life, we must know that failure is part of it and accept that tomorrow we can do better.' –Tshogofatso Nkhumeleng
