the centre enamelled with a peony amongst blooms enclosed by an iron-red and gilt spear-head border, gilt rim, the reverse enamelled with small boys and their tutors at various pursuits before mountains and waterscapes, raised on a low foot with gilt diaper band, rivets, 38,5cm diameter
