Notes
In this sculpture, a hare with a Cheshire grin, wearing trousers stands upright, ready for a game of golf. Ndou further equips his hare with an armour-like backpack, similar to a tortoise-shell, as if to protect itself against the hazard of flying golf balls. Ndou's sculptures are held in prestigious collections in South Africa including Wits Art Museum, Johannesburg Art Gallery and Tatham Art Gallery, Pietermaritzburg. LC
