An Indian carved sandalwood table, late 19th/early 20th century

circular, carved to the centre with a rondel enclosing a figure of hanuman, enclosed by foliate and flowerhead borders, the outer rim with scrolling foliage enclosed by bands of circular motifs, raised on three elephant-headed legs, on stile feet, repairs to legs, 62cm high, 60cm diameter; and another example, rosewood, oval, the centre carved with a figure flanked by a pair of elephants enclosed by foliate borders, the outer foliate border carved and interspersed with lions and monkeys, above a lappet frieze, raised on four elephant-headed legs, joined by an X-shaped stretcher centred by an oval dish, embellished with four cobras heads, raised on stile feet, some restoration, 65cm high, 92cm wide, 61cm deep
