A pair of George III Sheffield-plate tureens, liners and covers, Morton, first quarter 19th century
oval, each with gadrooned rim, the body with a wavy double gadrooned border divided by putti, the applied handles embossed with berries, leaves and figures of young Bacchus, raised on four acanthus-leaf-headed lion-paw feet, the detachable cover with gadrooned border applied with a pair of entwined dolphins and laurel-leaf finial, detachable fitted liner with double lip, handles repaired,oxidization, one handle loose, stamped Morton, numbered 3, 4 and 2, 17cm high
