About this Item
Crescendo 2003
6 (1 x 6) 750ml
Crescendo was remarkable in that the wine was made in an austere, unapologetically tannic style, whilst the industry moved towards big plush reds.

Critics Ratings
'Classically oriented fine blend based on cabernet franc (proportions may vary). Quietly assertive 03 has 15% each cab s & merlot. Unusually early emergence of charm for this long developer: lovely berry fruits, cherries, minerality supported in harmonious whole by fine tannins, savoury acid, good oak (18 months new French), 13.9% alc. Delicate, fresh, exciting now, what a fine future too. Contrasting, bigger (14.5% alc) & less elegant 02 was muscularly gaunt & sulky at same stage, needing more time to reveal its best.' - Platter's SA Wine Guide 2006, 4.5*
