Maswanganyi obtained his national diploma in fine art from Technikon Witwatersrand in 1999. He is a sculptor who works mostly with wood and paint, like his father before him. He creates life size and large-scale works, drawing inspiration from life and the intersection of African tradition and modern fashion. Maswanganyi has exhibited widely in South Africa, won multiple awards, and his work is represented in private and public collections.
