A Dutch Colonial teak, ebony and brass-mounted chest, 18th century, possibly Ceylonese the rectangular hinged top applied with brass bosses and pierced strapwork, the escutcheon plate engraved with the VOC monogram, the sides with brass carrying-handles, on bracket supports with bun feet, 76cm high, 135cm wide, 58cm deep
