the front and reverse painted with a lobed cartouche enclosing peonies, pomegranates, birds and butterflies, against a blue ground with sprays of flowers, the detachable later cover with metal mounts, the cover painted in a powder blue glaze, traces of gilt, the vase with underglaze-blue double-ring mark, 29cm high
