About this Item
After global travels and living in Japan for more than two decades, Hans-Peter Schröder relocated to Stellenbosch and bought the beautiful Oude Nektar farm in the Jonkershoek Valley in the late 1980s. He was later joined by son-in-law José Conde, a native of Kansas City, who took up the reins in the cellar with both passion and precision, unlocking the potential of the Jonkershoek terroir.

Critics Ratings
‘2014 from Jonkershoek single vineyard. Brighter, fresher fruit & firmer structure than sibling. Also has more new oak (40%) well integrated into solid foundation of fruit. More brooding than suave 2013 (93 pts), but still a babe.’ – Platter’s SA Wine Guide, 4.5*
‘Polished, with warm cocoa and melted licorice notes framing a core of friendly steeped plum and raspberry compote flavors. A flash of singed spice adds range on the finish.’ – James Molesworth, Wine Spectator, 92/100 (May 2017)
‘The Three Pines Syrah site is the highest in Stellenbosch at 350 metres. The alcohol is quite marked here and the fruit a little jammy perhaps, but the tannins are refined and the palate spicy and sweet. As ever, it’s the structure of the site that shines through in the glass. Drink 2016-21.’ – Tim Atkin MW, SA Special Report 2016, 91/100
