A Victorian silver butter dish and cover, Martin, Hall & Co, Sheffield, 1857 the domed cover embossed with vacant cartouches enclosed by flowerheads and c-scrolls, detachable foliate finial, the open pierced framework applied with a pair of handles, raised on four pierced bracket feet headed by shells, fitted with a later opaque glass liner, the cover with minor dents, 21cm wide over handles, 415g all in (3)
