the half-matt gilt plate with nickel-lever movement, bi-metallic compensation balance, engraved 'W. Alexander 7 Sons, Gordon Street, Glasgow, no. 13119', enamel dial with roman numerals, subsidiary seconds dial, with blued-steel hands, with 18ct gold cuvette, the case and cuvette signed, Henry Buckland, London, the case with inscriptions '14th December 1868 - 7th September 1881', the inside cover engraved with a crest, not in working order, 42mm; with an 18ct gold chain, with T-bar and dog-nose clip, with later Victorian 1887 Jubilee Five Pound gold coin, length approximately 425mm, 58g gross mass
