About this Item

A pair of Chinese ivory figures of archers, Qing Dynasty, 19th/20th century each standing figure dressed in chain mail and engraved with a five-clawed dragon and clouds, their backs carved with a quiver of arrows, the female warrior holding a spear, her companion with a sword and chain suspended from his belt, on a carved wooden base, the taller 40,5cm high excluding base; another, similar but smaller, on a later base, repaired, 24cm high; and a stained ivory carving of an Immortal, Qing Dynasty, 19th/20th century, standing on one leg, his right leg resting against his staff, with a rooster beside his left foot, on stylised clouds, lacking left arm, losses, 18cm high
