About this Item

Pomerol, 1976
1 (1 x 1) 750ml

Pétrus is one of the world`s rarest and most expensive wines. Virtually unheard of 30 years ago, it was only when the Moueix family bought a half share in the property in 1962 that its true potential began to be fully realised. Pétrus lies on unique Pomerol terroir and it produces a rich, full wine with a velvety texture and a bouquet of cassis, violet and truffle.

Critics Ratings

‘Mid crimson with a brick rim. Fresh, sweet, floral aromas. Light for a Petrus but clean and charming. Very fresh finish with medium persistence. A wine with no more to give but so much more intense than most 1976 red bordeaux would be now.’ - Jancis Robinson MW, JancisRobinson.com, 17.5/20 (Jun 2013)
