An carved fruitwood box, Fort Napier, 1914 - 1918
the hinged rectangular top carved with a stylised compass motif and centred by the initials 'AH', for Alwyn Hurter, enclosed by a zigzag and fan-shaped border, the front, sides and reverse similarly carved, the inside cover carved 'IN REMEMBRANCE OF MY INTERNMENT, FORT NAPIER', raised on four block feet, the lock-plate loose, 17cm high, 32,5cm wide, 17cm deep
