About this Item

Volnay Clos Du Des Ducs, 1990
4 (1 x 4) 750ml

Michel Lafarge is the quintessential family domaine. Michel Lafarge, who joined his father at the family-owned domaine in the late 1940s after World War Two, was also a trailblazer in Burgundy, being among the first small-scale producers to begin bottling his own wines for export,’ writes Decanter. Continuing his father’s legacy, Frédéric and his daughter Clothilde make some of the best wines in Volnay from their 10 hectares, which include some of the most prime sites in Volnay. In 2014, they purchased vineyards in Beaujolais and farm them using the same biodynamic practices they employed in the Côte de Beaune.
