'Cool aromas of minerals, vanilla and nut skin, plus a distinct note of strawberry. Bright and minerally, but with rather ripe, showy flavors of honey and apricot. This expanded nicely with aeration, showing a lush texture and excellent length. But a rather gentle style for Corton-Charlemagne; today the Beaune Clos des Mouches comes across as more gripping.' - Stephen Tanzer, Vinous.com, 90/100 (2001)
