Situated in the Stellenbosch region, with a history dating back to 1771, Warwick Wine Estate was purchased by a Commanding Officer of the Warwickshire regiment in 1902 and he renamed the farm Warwick as a tribute to his regiment. In 1964, Stan & Norma Ratcliffe started redeveloping the estate, through the planting of Bordeaux varieties with son, Mike Ratcliffe, eventually taking over the reins in 1999. In 2018 Warwick was acquired by Eileses Capital, a San Francisco investment firm. The Trilogy, named for the three major varieties of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot, is their flagship blend.
