A carved oak marriage kist, possibly South German 18th/19th century the domed cover with carrying handle and knob, carved with artichokes, grapes and scrolls, the front carved with a pair of figures supporting a foliate shield, the sides similarly carved, the interior with later detachable tray, the inner domed cover fitted with engraved steel clasps, on later block feet, 40cm high, 60cm wide, 38cm deep
