Notes
Two editions of The General, by William Kentridge, were printed by Jack Shireff and Andrew Smith at 107 Workshop in Wiltshire, and published by David Krut Fine Art, London. The first edition had 15 impressions, which remained in black and white. The second edition of 35 were hand-coloured by William Kentridge. The work that is Lot 347 on our auction comes from a third edition of the work, which was printed at 107 Workshop, and hand-coloured by Shireff and Smith. These impressions were signed by William Kentridge and published unnumbered.
