There is really lovely intensity to the complex, delineated and crisp middle weight flavors that are shaped by a relatively fine effervescence on the impressively persistent finish. This is a really lovely effort that is drinking reasonable well now but even so, it seems apparent that more depth will develop if it is allowed a few more years of bottle age. ‘Lassalle's 2007 Brut Special Club 1er Cru is bright, energetic and finely cut, with plenty of citrus and floral notes. Medium-bodied and light on its feet, the 2007 is a terrific choice for readers who favor clean, crisp Champagnes. I would prefer to drink the 2007 as an aperitif or alongside lighter foods.
