rectangular, the hinged cover inlaid with initials 'MR', the interior fitted with a pair of pierced and engraved clips, an ivory silver-mounted divider and a pencil, 10,5cm high, 7,5cm wide; and a miniature tortoishell and silver-mounted book, apparently unmarked, with pique decoration and inlaid with the initials 'DC'
