A Farsari & Co photograph album of Japanese interest, circa 1889 an album of 50 hand-coloured albumen prints mounted back-to-back, each with title and number in the negative, with albumen print title page with credit and photomontage, the photographs with foxing, each 24 by 19cm, mounts warped and with damage, the front black lacquer board embellished with a procession of crickets supporting a palanquin on their way to a temple, the autumn scene with Mount Fuji in the background, the reverse with a butterfly, ladybird, dragonfly and cricket, spine damaged, the lacquer with overall chipping to the corners and edges, one corner with crack (10cm long) formerly secured with sellotape, (35cm wide)
