A set of four Chinese Export blue and white shell-shaped dishes, Qianlong period, 1735-1796
each painted to the centre with two small figures before a riverscape with a pagoda and dwellings in the distance, enclosed by double blue-line, spear-head and key-fret borders, the shaped border with butterflies and cell-diaper ground, later gilded rim, raised on a foot, 20,5cm wide
