The Oude Libertas winery is one of the oldest wineries in South Africa and houses the oldest and most established and picturesque amphitheatre in Stellenbosch.

This wine has been checked and re-corked by Amorim cork under supervision of auction curator Higgo Jacobs, assuring provenance, quality and long life. Seal code Wx-391434, Sb-728009 can be traced on Amorim Recorking Directory

Critics Ratings

‘Bright ruby core with light garnet rim. Nice red fruit that’s still holding good vibrant acidity, with rustic notes and a hint of coffee. Quite light and modern in style. Fair expression of a well matured Cape red.’ - Higgo Jacobs (Apr 2022)

'The nose is evolved with caramel and nutty notes to go with red and black berries plus some earthiness. The palate is chunky and rather rustic – sweet on entry but rather dried out on the finish.' - Christian Eedes, 94/100 (Apr 2022)
