Critics Ratings
'When David Trafford of Stellenbosch cellar De Trafford gets it right, he really gets it right as is the case with his Chenin Blanc 2014. The nose shows yellow peach, apricot and even pineapple plus ginger, spice and a little leesy complexity. The palate is rich and full (despite official protestations to the contrary) with concentrated fruit, coated acidity and an intensely savoury finish. The wine has an essential, unadulterated feel about it and basically completely rocks.' - Christian Eedes Winemag.co.za 2016, 94 Points
'Wild yeast fermented in 15% new oak. Ripe melon, yellow stonefruit & honey notes lifted by vibrant acidity, which also provides clean length and structure.' - Platter's SA Wine Guide 2016, 4.5*
