Estimate R 2 500 - 3 000
Adolph Jentsch stored many of his artworks in a barn on a farm belonging to his dear friends the Von Funckes with whom he lived for many years. Sadly, in 1975, the barn caught fire resulting in the tragic loss of much of Jentsch’s work from over 40 years. The present lot was one of the works in that barn, which is why is it singed along the margins.

HOW DOES THIS AFFECT COMMISSION BIDS?
Commission Bids are aligned with our bidding increments so should you enter a Commission Bid that is not a valid bidding increment for that lot it will automatically be reduced to the closest bidding increment.
For example:
A lot currently has a bid of R 2000, you are prepared to go to R 2500 so you enter a Commission Bid of R 2500. However, according to the table, R 2500 is not a valid bidding increment so your Commission Bid will automatically be reduced to R 2400.
