Tatiana Retzlaff completed her Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Jewellery Design at Stellenbosch University, going on to earn her certification from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) in both diamonds and gemstones essentials. This grounding in both design and gemmology gave her a firm understanding of the intricacies of the jewellery trade.
She began her career at Browns, where she developed her expertise in luxury and fine jewellery through high-end sales. Since 2024, she has been part of the jewellery team at Strauss & Co, bringing her knowledge of craftsmanship, provenance, and market trends to the auction house’s specialist offering.
