Bryony Clark
Art Specialist

Bryony Clark works as the regional representative for Strauss & Co in KwaZulu-Natal.  Her role includes liaising with local clients and assisting with valuations as well as writing and researching for the Strauss & Co cataloguing department.   

Bryony graduated from the University of Natal (now known as UKZN) in 1986 with a BA, and in 1987 with a Post Graduate Diploma in Library and Information Science, she went on to study History of Art and completed a number of modules in ceramic conservation through the South African Institute for Heritage Science and Conservation. She worked at the Tatham Art Gallery in Pietermaritzburg in various capacities for 34 years from 1988 to 2022,  including as Acting Manager for over three years after the previous Manager retired in 2018.  

Bryony joined Strauss & Co in 2023.  She is based in Pietermaritzburg, and is able to assist clients from the KZN region with artwork valuations and enquiries.  She has a particular interest in ceramics produced in the Province.
